Veronica Piazza graduated in Environmental Science (2000) and got a PhD in Marine Sciences (2006) at the University of Genoa (Italy). In 2001 she started working at National Research Council (CNR) as post-doctoral researcher (at the Institute of Marine Science, ISMAR) and she is a permanent researcher at CNR-IAS since 2018. Her research activity primarily focuses on: anthropic impacts, marine environmental monitoring through the use of bioassays, laboratory and field antifouling efficacy tests and development of low environmental impact antifouling technologies. She is Head of the Research Group “Industrial and Maritime Ecosostenibility” (ECOSIM) and member of “Ecotoxicology and Environmental monitoring” (ECOTOX) group at CNR IAS. She participated and is currently involved in several research projects with differente funding sources (EU, National and Private) and she co-authored more than 40 peer reviewed articles.
